AIG, Others Targeted In NY Life Insurance Probe

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 6:28 PM EDT) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has widened his probe into alleged fraud in the life insurance industry, subpoenaing five more insurers, including American International Group Inc., Aetna Inc., and CNO Financial Group Inc.

Cuomo spokesman Richard Bamberger said Thursday the latest batch of subpoenas also included Lincoln National Corp. and Principal Financial Group Inc., bringing the total number of companies targeted in the investigation to at least 13.
