EPA Touts Plans To Improve US Water Quality

Law360, New York (August 23, 2010, 12:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has released the first draft of a plan to improve treatment and protection of U.S. waterways and bolster enforcement of the Clean Water Act.

Billed as a “more holistic” approach to raising water quality in the United States, the EPA’s “Coming Together For Clean Water” strategy, released Aug. 20, aims to build on provisions of the CWA to address current threats to achieving fishable and swimmable waters, the EPA said.
