Ariz. Court Closes Door On Fidelity Collecting $8M Win

Law360, New York (August 23, 2010, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Fidelity National Financial Inc. may have lost an avenue to collect on an $8 million judgment rendered in a fraud case in a federal court in Arizona, following a ruling from the state supreme court that held the insurer failed to properly extend the enforcement deadline.

The company did not file an affidavit along with a form to renew the judgment, a requirement to collect a judgment under Arizona law, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled in an en banc decision issued Thursday.
