ACTA Parties Herald Progress In 10th Round Of Talks

Law360, New York (August 23, 2010, 11:28 AM EDT) -- The latest round of negotiations on the proposed Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement has yielded advancements on a number of thorny cross-border intellectual property issues, including generic medicines and PDAs, according to participants.

The 10th round of talks on ACTA, hosted by the U.S., wrapped up Friday, according to a joint statement released by negotiating partners.

The weeklong round of discussions was attended by representatives from Australia, Canada, the European Union, the EU presidency and member states, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland and the U.S....
