FDA Chief Seeks More Funds, Power To Stop Salmonella

Law360, New York (August 23, 2010, 7:01 PM EDT) -- U.S. Food and Drug Administration chief Margaret Hamburg continues to press for the passage of pending legislation that would provide her agency with the additional funding and authority she says it needs to prevent food-borne illnesses such as the recent salmonella outbreak that has prompted the recall of more than 500 million eggs.
