Pepper Hamilton Sues FDIC Over Bank's Legal Fees

Law360, New York (August 25, 2010, 5:13 PM EDT) -- Pepper Hamilton LLP has accused the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. of trying to stiff the firm on more than $250,000 in legal fees incurred by a Utah bank before it was placed into receivership.

Philadelphia-based Pepper Hamilton lodged its complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, saying that it provided an extensive range of legal services to Advanta Bank Corp. in the weeks surrounding its placement into receivership and alleging that the FDIC is now not properly addressing the claims....
