Feds Settle Endangered Species Testing Suit In Ore.

Law360, New York (August 25, 2010, 4:46 PM EDT) -- Two federal agencies accused of moving at a “glacial pace” to complete required toxic chemical testing of endangered species have agreed to report their findings within the next two years, settling a suit brought by an Oregon environmental group.

The National Marine Fisheries Service and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service filed a settlement Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon that requires them to complete environmental consultations by December 2011 and June 2012, respectively.
