Tyson's Summary Judgment Bid Denied

Law360, New York (February 21, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The federal judge overseeing a proposed class action suit that accuses Tyson Foods Inc. of violating overtime laws has rejected Tyson’s attempt to pare down the plaintiffs’ claims.

Friday, U.S. District Judge John W. Lungstrum of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas shot down Tyson’s motion for partial summary judgment.

“We’re very, very pleased, and we think Judge Lungstrum got it absolutely correct,” said George Hanson, an attorney for the plaintiffs.
