Foley Reps Exelon In $900M John Deere Wind Deal

Law360, New York (August 31, 2010, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Power company Exelon Corp. on Tuesday announced plans to purchase wind power producer John Deere Renewables LLC for $900 million, seeking to add 735 operating megawatts of renewable energy to its portfolio.

Exelon will pay $860 million for the acquisition, plus another $40 million on the construction of advanced development projects that would add 230 megawatts to the portfolio. Exelon said it would finance the transaction using Exelon Generation debt.
