Viacom, Diddy Still Face All Claims In $60M TV Spat

Law360, New York (August 31, 2010, 2:54 PM ET) -- A federal judge has rejected bids by Bad Boy Films Inc. and Viacom Inc. to throw out claims from bankrupt Trans Continental Television Productions Inc.’s $60 million contract suit alleging its production rights for the TV show “Making the Band” were wrongfully turned over to hip-hop artist Sean “Diddy” Combs.

In two orders Friday, Judge John Antoon II of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida allowed Trans Continental’s suit to proceed but indicated that issues over one of its state law claims...
