Mediator Tapped To Resolve Tribune Creditor Fights

Law360, New York (September 1, 2010, 6:24 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge appointed a mediator Wednesday to moderate creditor disputes over Tribune Co.'s Chapter 11 plan, after key creditors backed out of a settlement last month and potentially stymied the media conglomerate's path out of bankruptcy.

Judge Kevin Gross will mediate disputes among the Tribune, the creditors committee and creditors including JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Angelo Gordon & Co., according to an order Wednesday by Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin J. Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
