Hedge Fund Stole $9M, Suit Claims

Law360, New York (February 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The manager of a Maryland hedge fund that bilked investors out of $9 million has been hit with a fraud suit by the state attorney general.

Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler has charged John Henry Williams, the founder of LaJon Corp., which includes subsidiaries LaJon Capital Management LLC, LaJon Capital Advisors LLC and LaJon Capital Fund LP, with eight counts of violating state securities laws.
