Law360, New York (September 13, 2010, 6:23 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company Aloft Media LLC has dropped Convergys Corp. from a patent infringement suit against several software and stock research companies over computer decision-making technology.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas dismissed Convergys with prejudice on Sept. 7, in response to a voluntary dismissal motion from Aloft.

Texas-based Aloft had claimed Convergys' Dynamic Decisioning Solution — software that helps a company's employees come up with timely answers when interacting with customers — infringed the two patents-in-suit. The defendant...
