EMC, CA, Others Sued Over E-Dictionary Patent

Law360, New York (September 9, 2010, 3:16 PM EDT) -- A slew of technology companies — including EMC Corp. and CA Inc. — have been accused of infringing a patent for electronic dictionary technology.

Longview, Texas-based WordCheck Tech LLC filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accusing dozens of companies of infringing U.S. Patent Number 6,782,510, issued in 2004 and titled “Word checking tool for controlling the language content in documents using dictionaries with modifiable status fields.
