Groups Urge High Court To Bar First-Sale Doctrine Use

Law360, New York (September 9, 2010, 5:22 PM EDT) -- A group of book publishers and the American Bar Association have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to affirm a decision barring Costco Wholesale Corp. from using the first-sale doctrine in copyright law to defend the sale of imported Omega SA watches without the watchmaker's permission.
