Dechert Reps Arizant In $810M 3M Deal

Law360, New York (September 09, 2010, 12:58 PM ET) -- 3M Co. announced Thursday it has penned a deal to purchase heated surgical blanket maker Arizant Inc. from private equity company Court Square Capital for $810 million, a move the manufacturing conglomerate said would help expand its footprint in the highly lucrative patient warming equipment market.

Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Arizant — which manufactures patient warming products designed to prevent hypothermia in surgical settings — created the category of forced-air patient warming with its Bair Hugger therapy in 1987, according to 3M.
