Overstock Director Resigns

Law360, New York (February 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An independent member of discount online shop Overstock.com’s board of directors resigned Friday, motivated by a disagreement over the Web site’s recent $3.48 billion lawsuit against a number of top U.S. brokerages.

In a four-line resignation letter, John A. Fisher praised Overstock.com Inc. CEO Patrick M. Byrne and said a disagreement over the lawsuit was behind his move.
