Ga. Call Center Reps Hit Verizon With Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 3:35 PM EDT) -- Call center workers in Georgia have filed a collective action accusing cell phone provider Verizon Wireless of not paying customer service representatives for required work activities before and after their scheduled shifts.

The complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, alleges that Verizon has violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay hourly call center employees for overtime.
