Porn Website Demands Insurer Cover IP Spat

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 2:26 PM EDT) -- Online porn company RK Netmedia Inc. has smacked its insurer with a breach of contract suit for refusing to defend and indemnify it from Warner Music Group's copyright infringement allegations.

American Safety Indemnity Co. asserted grounds for denying coverage that were contrary to the terms of the policies in question, failed to conduct an adequate investigation of Warner Music Group's claims, and refused to attend an important mediation, according to the suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida....
