Feds Widen Bribe Probe Of HP-Russia IT Deal

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 5:07 PM EDT) -- An investigation into a €35 million ($45 million) information technology deal between Hewlett-Packard Co. and the Russian government has widened, with U.S. enforcement authorities now seeking information about activities beyond the so-called Russia GPO deal.

The authorities requested information from HP relating to certain governmental and quasi-governmental transactions in Russia and in the Commonwealth of Independent States subregion dating back to 2000, according to the company’s 10-Q filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
