Chevron Settles Suit Over Oil Leakage In Calif.

Law360, New York (September 14, 2010, 6:11 PM EDT) -- Chevron Corp. has settled with an environmental group in a suit that claimed the energy giant had been illegally leaking oil into the ground and water near two Northern California facilities for decades.

The dismissal order, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, gives no substantive details of the settlement agreement.
