Fairfield Greenwich Can't Appeal Preemption Rulings

Law360, New York (September 14, 2010, 3:22 PM EDT) -- The defendants in a proposed securities class action alleging Fairfield Greenwich Group turned a blind eye to signs of Bernard L. Madoff's massive Ponzi scheme have lost a bid to certify certain issues for interlocutory appeal.

Judge Victor Marrero of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued an order Monday denying eight letters seeking to file motions for certification of issues addressed in two prior rulings refusing to dismiss the case.
