South Korea's Hysco Gets De Minimis Subsidy Rate

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 4:24 PM EDT) -- In a review of a countervailing duty order on corrosion-resistant carbon flat steel products from South Korea, the U.S. Department of Commerce has preliminarily determined that Hyundai Hysco Ltd. received subsidies in the form of short-term export financing, but that the rate was de minimis.

The International Trade Administration determined that the net subsidy rate for Hysco during the relevant review period was 0.07 percent ad valorem, a virtually negligible amount, according to a Federal Register notice published Tuesday.
