Pom Unhurt By Welch's Deceptive Marketing, Jury Says

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 5:25 PM EDT) -- A federal jury has ruled that Welch Foods Inc. intended to deceive consumers by marketing a white-grape and pomegranate juice that contains little pomegranate, but also found that plaintiff Pom Wonderful LLC was not injured by the alleged deception.

In a verdict handed down Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the jury sided with Pom's allegations that Welch’s deceptively marketed its product, a blend of grape and apple juice containing about one ounce of pomegranate juice per 64-ounce bottle....
