Forest Agrees To Drop $313M To Settle Qui Tam Claims

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 7:55 PM EDT) -- A unit of Forest Laboratories Inc. agreed Wednesday to pay $313 million to settle allegations that it promoted drugs for unapproved pediatric use, that it used illegal kickbacks to induce physicians to prescribe the drugs, and that it submitted inaccurate information to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, among other things.
