GE, Enviros Press For Renewable Energy Bill Passage

Law360, New York (September 16, 2010, 6:21 PM EDT) -- A coalition of strange bedfellows, including GE Energy, the United Steelworkers union and an environmental group, has called on the U.S. Senate to pass renewable energy mandates that stalled after leaving committee last year.

The group of 22 environmental organizations, labor groups, businesses and trade associations put out a statement Wednesday calling on the Senate to move forward on the renewable electricity standard to spur economic growth.
