Brooklyn Oil Refiner To Pay $1.5M For EPA Cleanup

Law360, New York (September 17, 2010, 6:35 PM EDT) -- The operator of a Brooklyn, N.Y., waste oil processing facility has agreed to pay $1.5 million to cover the cost of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency cleanup.

Cary Fields, who operated BCF Oil Refining Inc. in the East Williamsburg Industrial Park, agreed to the amount in a consent judgment filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, ending the government's litigation over the EPA's costs.
