Jurisdictional Discovery OK'd In OxyContin IP Suit

Law360, New York (September 17, 2010, 2:05 PM EDT) -- A federal judge overseeing antitrust multidistrict litigation against Purdue Pharma LP has allowed discovery over a jurisdictional dispute in the drugmaker's patent infringement suit against Varam Inc. and KVK-Tech Inc. regarding a generic version of its painkiller OxyContin.

Judge Sidney Stein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday granted Purdue’s bid for jurisdictional discovery to address the defendants’ challenges that the patent suit should be dismissed.
