Discover Used 'Sleight-Of-Hand' To Sell Services: Suit

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 6:18 PM EDT) -- Discover Financial Services LLC has been hit with a proposed class action alleging it enrolled customers in a collection of specialty services without their consent.

A class action complaint, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleges Discover sales representatives used “confusion, misdirection and sleight-of-hand sales tactics to willfully and knowingly dupe unsuspecting (Discover) Network Members” into unwittingly purchasing the disputed services.
