Menusoft Didn't Infringe Dining Sales Patent, Jury Says

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 5:13 PM EDT) -- Technology company Menusoft Systems Corp. on Monday defeated a patent infringement suit brought by Ameranth Inc. over restaurant point-of-sale methods, with a federal jury finding that the asserted patents were invalid and not infringed.

Ameranth-held U.S. Patent Numbers 6,384,850; 6,871,325; and 6,982,733 are invalid for obviousness and anticipation, and were never infringed by Springfield, Va.-based Menusoft, according to a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
