Panasonic, Thomson Resolve V-Chip Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (September 22, 2010, 8:03 PM EDT) -- Fresh off a big district court win, Panasonic Corp. and Thomson Inc. have resolved allegations they infringed Guardian Media Technologies Ltd.'s widely asserted patent for v-chip censorship technology.

Judge Irma E. Gonzalez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California signed a pair of orders Tuesday that dismissed with prejudice all claims and counterclaims.

Each party will bear all costs, expenses and attorneys' fees. It was unclear whether any money changed hands.
