Marine Hose Plaintiffs Seek Depositions Ahead Of Trial

Law360, New York (September 22, 2010, 5:12 PM EDT) -- As a trial looms, a battle is brewing over whether class action plaintiffs accusing a host of companies of participating in a price-fixing scheme for marine hose can telephonically depose executives of corporations that have already settled the case.

In a motion filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the plaintiffs said the purpose of the depositions is rather benign: to authenticate certain business documents obtained in discovery and confirm U.S. marine hose sales during the alleged scheme.
