Judge Allows Extra Discovery In Starbucks Class Action

Law360, New York (September 22, 2010, 7:54 PM EDT) -- A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Starbucks Corp. may take depositions from 25 plaintiffs — more than the 10 allowed under a federal rule of civil procedure — in a class action suit alleging the ubiquitous hot beverage provider skimped on overtime payments to employees.
