Dish Network Settles Retailer Class Actions For $88M

Law360, New York (September 23, 2010, 5:54 PM EDT) -- Dish Network Corp. has agreed to settle class actions brought by retailers in Colorado for up to $88 million.

Englewood, Colo.-based Dish Network disclosed the settlement in a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday. Under the terms of the settlement, Dish Network will pay retailers up to $60 million. In addition, certain class members will have the option to reinstate certain monthly incentive payments, which have a total value of $23 million, according to the SEC filing.
