Sirius, XM Named In Two Patent Infringement Cases

Law360, New York (March 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the wake of their recent merger announcement, both XM Satellite Radio Inc. and Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. have been named in two separate patent infringement suits.

In a complaint filed Tuesday, a company accused the satellite radio providers of infringing its patent for a method of streaming radio on the Internet. On Wednesday, another company filed a lawsuit claiming XM and Sirius infringed its patent for managing mobile computer systems.
