Ex-Army Sgt. Pleads Guilty In Fuel Contract Scheme

Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A former U.S. Army staff sergeant pled guilty Friday to taking more than $400,000 in bribes from a government contractor when he was supervising fuel receipts and redistribution at a military base in Afghanistan.

Stevan Nathan Ringo pled guilty to one count of bribery in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and federal prosecutors dropped conspiracy and theft of government property charges in return.
