CropLife Ecuador Exits Spat Over Toxic Fungicide

Law360, New York (September 27, 2010, 3:04 PM ET) -- The Ecuadorean arm of trade association CropLife International, which represents the plant science industry, has become the latest defendant to be dismissed from a putative class action seeking damages from exposure to a toxic banana fungicide.

Judge Reggie B. Walton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued the ruling Thursday, saying the court lacked jurisdiction over CropLife Ecuador.
