Russia Launches Probe Of Glaxo Vaccine Trials

Law360, New York (March 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Russian prosecutors have reportedly launched a criminal investigation into vaccine trials by pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline in Russia that were allegedly conducted illegally on children.

Russia’s prosecutor general said Friday that investigators had initiated the investigation at a hospital in Volgograd, about 550 miles southeast of Moscow, the Associated Press reported, citing a statement posted on the prosecutor general's Web site.
