Sony Can't Dodge Suit Over Online Gaming Patents

Law360, New York (September 28, 2010, 3:12 PM EDT) -- A judge has rejected Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC's request to dismiss a suit alleging it infringed two patents related to online gaming, finding that the disconnect between the electronics giant and its end users does not constitute divided infringement.

Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV had recommended that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas deny Sony's motion, and on Monday Judge David Folsom did so, according to the court's order.
