ITC Denies Bid To Invalidate Toshiba Laptop Patents

Law360, New York (September 28, 2010, 6:53 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday denied Wistron Corp.'s request to invalidate two patents for laptop computer technology asserted by Toshiba Corp. in an ongoing Section 337 investigation.

The administrative law judge overseeing the case denied Wistron's motions for summary determination of invalidity of the patents-in-suit, finding that the respondent had failed to support its argument that the patents were invalid for obviousness.
