Broker Convicted Of Fraud Denied New Trial Bid

Law360, New York (September 29, 2010, 7:39 PM EDT) -- A judge has denied a motion for a new trial by a former stockbroker convicted of masterminding a scheme that bilked two brokerage firms of at least $26 million.

Judge Robert Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled Wednesday that George Georgiou received a fair trial, finding no merit in arguments that Georgiou suffered a miscarriage of justice.
