Rite Aid Exec Sent Back To Jail With Shorter Sentence

Law360, New York (September 29, 2010, 7:15 PM EDT) -- A federal judge is sending former Rite Aid Corp. executive Franklin Brown back to jail, though she reduced his sentence from 10 years to 7 1/2 years.

Brown, who has already served 5 1/2 years in prison, has been out on bail since Aug. 16 pending his re-sentencing. But on Wednesday, Judge Sylvia Rambo of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania ordered him to serve an additional two years, an attorney for Brown confirmed.
