3M, DuPont, Solutia Sink Water Contamination Suit

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 1:07 PM ET) -- A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit alleging that 3M Co., DuPont Co. and Solutia Inc. are liable for polluting public drinking water around Pensacola, Fla.

On Wednesday, Judge M. Casey Rodgers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida dropped the curtains on Emerald Coast Utilities Authority’s suit against the major chemical manufacturers because contamination at the wells fell within acceptable limits.
