Kodak Loses Bid To Boot Ex-Employee From Competitor

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 5:16 PM EDT) -- Eastman Kodak Co. has lost a bid to remove a former employee from his current position as a director of research at rival Presstek Inc. in a dispute over whether he violated a noncompete provision in his employment contract.

Judge Richard P. Matsch of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado denied Kodak's motion for a preliminary injunction at a hearing on Wednesday, offering little explanation in court documents for the reasoning behind his ruling. Attorneys for both companies declined to comment.
