Consumers Urge High Court To Uphold AT&T Ruling

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 5:31 PM EDT) -- Consumers suing AT&T Mobility LLC over the enforceability of class action bans in arbitration agreements are urging the U.S. Supreme Court to find that the Federal Arbitration Act does not stop judges from striking down the bans.

Public Citizen Litigation laid out the argument in a brief filed with the high court Wednesday on behalf of respondents Vincent and Liza Concepcion, who won their lawsuit challenging AT&T's class action ban in a lower court.
