Law360, New York (October 01, 2010, 6:28 PM ET) -- Law firm mergers and acquisitions activity remains sluggish, with only five new combinations announced in the U.S. during the third quarter of this year, according to an analysis released Friday.
In its quarterly merger analysis, legal management consulting firm Altman Weil Inc. said there had only been 24 law firm deals announced to date in 2010, down from 45 last year at this time — a drop-off of 47 percent.
