ON Semiconductor's Memory Patent Suit Sent To Calif.

Law360, New York (October 04, 2010, 1:54 PM ET) -- A federal judge has moved ON Semiconductor Corp.'s infringement suit against Hynix Semiconductor Inc. and other rivals to Northern California, finding that it is a superior venue for the dispute over patents for flash memory and dynamic random access memory technology.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled Thursday that access to proof, the cost of attendance and local interest factors all favored transfer to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
