Groundwork Laid For Multiple Tribune Ch. 11 Plans

Law360, New York (October 4, 2010, 6:51 PM EDT) -- Mediation efforts continued Monday in the Tribune Co. Chapter 11 case, but a bankruptcy judge also began laying the groundwork for parties to submit competing plans if the talks fail to yield a settlement.

Judge Kevin J. Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware ordered the parties intending to submit reorganization plans to confer on what aspects of their plans could be streamlined to prevent confusion among voting creditors faced with potentially five or more competing plans.
