ADM, Others Off Hook In Sears De-Icing Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 06, 2010, 4:08 PM ET) -- Sears Petroleum & Transport Corp. has reached a post-trial resolution with Archer Daniels Midland Co. in a patent infringement suit over de-icing devices, clearing ADM and other defendants of six-year-old infringement claims but upholding the validity of Sears' two patents-in-suit.

The judgment, effected Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, mirrors a jury verdict reached in July and was not opposed by the defendants.
