Law360, New York (October 06, 2010, 7:26 PM ET) -- A Chinese drug manufacturer and its chief executive pled guilty Wednesday to a charge that they illegally distributed human growth hormone in the United States, a move that will cost them $7.5 million.
Lei Jin and his company, GeneScience Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd., entered their pleas before Judge Mary M. Lisi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, agreeing to jointly and severally pay $4.5 million to the U.S. Marshals Service to satisfy a criminal forfeiture judgment.
